Let's Get Started...
When you write a research paper for your professor in the arts or humanities, you may be asked to use "MLA" for the format of the paper. If so, your professor means that he/she want you to follow the MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers.
The 7th edition of the MLA Handbook is available in print at the Ready Reference section at the Reference/Information Desk, White Library, 2nd floor. Just ask for it at the desk. While you cannot check out this copy from the library, you are welcome to use it in the library building.
PLEASE NOTE: This guide is intended only as a quick start for your bibliography or "Works Cited" page. If you are not sure of a specific citation, be sure to check the print edition of the MLA Handbook or ask your professor!
